Harvey Nash is partnering with a fast-growing Tech Start-up which at the moment is seeking for an experienced Tax Specialist to join the global team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our client team and handle various tax-related responsibilities for the company. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements in multiple countries across Europe (e.g.Ireland, the UK, Romania, and Malta) and the US.

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Specialist, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding the client operations, optimizing tax strategies, and ensuring our compliance with tax regulations across diverse regions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle tax compliance for multiple jurisdictions including US and Europe.
  2. Stay updated on tax laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on the

company's tax obligations.

  1. Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns and reports, maintaining organized records for

audit purposes.

  1. Collaborate with finance, accounting, and payroll teams to ensure tax implications are considered

in financial decisions and payroll processing.

  1. Support tax audits and inquiries by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  2. Develop tax planning strategies.
  3. Coordinate with external tax advisors and consultants when needed to address complex tax issues.
  4. Streamline tax processes and implement best practices in tax management.
  5. Provide training and support to the finance team on tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably in handling a

diverse set of international taxes.

  • Basic understanding of International tax laws and regulations. Hands-on 3 years experience in

either US or European taxes.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organized tax records.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams and tax

authorities.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tax deadlines simultaneously.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus but not mandatory.
