Harvey Nash are working with a global FinTech to recruit for a Site Reliability Engineer to join a new, growing SaaS engineering team here in Dublin to help develop and support the key services and infrastructure associate with the company’s new SaaS native cloud product.
As an SRE, you will be responsible for working directly with other engineers to ensure the service design is reliable, scalable and has uptime at its core – automating to prevent issues happening in the first place, debugging problems at scale and supporting services in production.
Main responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining flexible and robust automated build and deployment solutions
- Analysis of existing processes with a view to incremental improvement
- Automate health monitoring of the production and test systems
- Integrate automation with operational requirements
- Implement monitoring, logging, observability into the platform.
- Involved in developing a highly scalable and mission critical observability platform consisting of metrics, monitoring, and logging systems.
- Interacting with other project, engineering, and business teams within the company
- Investigating performance degradation and resolving issues
The Ideal Candidate will have a combination of the below technical skills:
- Degree or Diploma in Computing or similar related qualification, or equivalent by experience
- Experience in DevOps - looking for candidates with strong experience in AWS environments.
- Automation/scripting skills and a desire to automate all the things
- Experience with programming languages such, Python, Typescript, Java
- Experience with AWS infrastructure & cloud native software design
- Familiarity with containerisation tools such as Docker
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Swarm etc.
- Familiarity with serverless technologies e.g. AWS Lambda,
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, CloudFormation
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning
- Successfully managed technical delivery of a project
- AWS Certification an advantage / highly desirable
