Job Description

Role: Risk & Controls Manager (VP Level)

Duration: 6 months

Location: Dublin City Centre (remotely initially)

Our client, a global funds services business are seeking to hire a Risk & Controls Manager to monitor a number of Risk, control and Audit issues across Issuer Services Operations. You will also support the improvement of existing risk and control processes, to reduce risk and improve business monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a central contact for the Audit and Risk Review team or External Auditors during audit / risk reviews. Including assisting with the collection of test samples requested for review, entering into dialogue with regards findings and providing feedback to the Operations and Business Managers.
  • Ensure Department is adhering to the Manual of Procedures and any changes in practice are in line with requirements.
  • Coordinate internal Peer Reviews within Issuer Operations to identify weaknesses in process or controls and feedback to Management. Monitor corrective action plans from Peer review findings to ensure implemented.
  • Responsible for management-level dashboards and ad hoc reporting and analysis through model development, validation, calibration and impact analyses.
  • Drive standardization of processes that ensure timely generation and retrieval of reporting and risk analytics data.
  • Enhance wider department knowledge of controls environment, through the delivery of training and awareness sessions.
  • Interface with Technology to coordinate progress on Departments initiatives

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably within an Operational / Risk related role with a broad understanding of banking operations and securities.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Agency and Trust Operations / Payments experience ideally
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills with team building capabilities
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills; ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop talent
