Information Security Analyst

Harvey Nash are working with a leading product and technical service provider here in Dublin to recruit for an Information Security Analyst that can be worked remotely from anywhere in Ireland.

Reporting directly into the Head of Security, you will be responsible for working as part of a small team helping to mitigate risk and improve the security posture of the business, with tasks ranging from the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures, conducting audits & reviews, monitoring systems and responding to any vulnerabilities or threats accordingly.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
  • Work with the Head of Information Security to develop and expand information security policies, standards, and procedure across the group.
  • Act as a security specialist for third party audits and internal IT projects.
  • Work alongside relevant data protection colleagues in relation to GDPR and data security.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
  • Participate in investigations into problematic activity.

Ideally you will have a combination of the below technical skills:

  • Proven experience in an IT security related role
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of network technologies and protocols and security of same (VPN, WAN, LAN, DMZ, TLS, SSL)
  • Experience with SIEM reporting/alerting technologies, including vulnerability detection.
  • Experience with IT security technologies and methods including OS hardening, Data Leakage Protection, Endpoint and Media encryption, 2fa, Web Content filters, Intrusion Prevention/Detection (IPS/IDS)
  • Experience with frameworks such as ISO 27001/2, SOC, NIST, or COBIT.
  • Experience of developing and implementing information security policies and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including the ability to exchange information, present ideas, and to report facts (both verbally and in writing) clearly and concisely.

Bonus Points if you can demonstrate:

  • Experience with any cloud security (AWS, Azure or GCP) technologies - hugely desirable but not essential
  • Any kind of programming or development experience – will be an asset.
  • Security focused industry certifications (CISSP, SSCP, GIAC etc.) would be advantageous.
