Deputy Operations Manager - Insurance

Our client, a dynamic insurance company, is seeking a dynamic Deputy Operations Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

This is a critical role supporting the ongoing management of the operational functions and ensuring effective delivery of customer experience programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the effective management of multiple business portfolios.
  • Accountable for managing policy administration across a multiple of Outsourced Service Providers (“OSP’s) including intra-group outsourcing.
  • Drive ownership of Governance of in-house and outsourced operations activities including providing support on any service reviews and assurance activities.
  • Undertake portfolio performance analysis and reporting.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager on occasion in the management of workload across the operations team, ensuring timely efficient delivery of quality service to the business.
  • Provide regular support and development to members of the Operations team.
  • Offer guidance on any day to operational queries and also coach the team to develop towards their future career goals.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the operations agenda in the best interest of the Monument group at all times.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrating 5+ years operations management experience in financial services ideally gained within Life and Pensions portfolios
  • Hold a QFA qualification as a minimum requirement.
  • Proactive team player who is used to working as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment working across multiple stakeholders and portfolios.
  • Experience working in change programmes supporting the delivery of Operational Change would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of other insurance products an advantage.
  • Experience in delivering cross functional programmes.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, proactively and under pressure with an openness to working both on Strategic plans and operational activities simultaneously in a growing organisation.
