Harvey Nash is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a client we manage recruitment for in Dublin within the Financial Software industry.


They are the market leader for cloud-based accounting, financials, enterprise management, people, and payroll software, we empower the world’s business heroes. They are passionate about building a culture where their colleagues feel they can bring their whole selves to work.


This position is as a Technical Business Analyst within the Software / Research & Development team, tasked with bridging the gap between IT and business elements of the organisation. You will be liaising closely with Sr. level stakeholders and their R&D team gathering user requirements and documenting/specifying new features for our software development.


This position would suit a Business Analyst with ambitions to progress in a high performing team and work on innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gathering, analysing and documenting solution requirements using Business Analysis techniques in an agile environment.Write and maintain documentation, including user stories, requirements, user guides
  • Work with the Product Owner in understanding customer needs and delivering the product roadmap
  • Working within an agile framework (SCRUM) to deliver results.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and signed off prior to solution development.
  • Assist the development team in understanding requirements, and user stories to more effectively implement the business needs.
  • Review and test new features and integrations to ensure high standards throughout


Skills/Experience Required

  • Degree in Business, Technology or related discipline.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, capable of producing high quality documents.
  • Ability to deal with all aspects of IT project analysis, delivery and support.
  • Previous exposure to SDLC methodologies, agile (SCRUM) preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, provide status updates, identify and escalate risks and present solutions to peers and business groups.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Some knowledge of an agile management tool, e.g. JIRA, Trello a benefit
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Project, Visio
