Duration: Permanent

Location: Dublin City Centre

An exciting opportunity as just opened up with our quickly growing Re-Insurance client based in Dublin city centre. The role will be based remotely initially and there will be some working from home flexibility thereafter

The role will the Operations & Outsourcing division of the business, which is a key area of focus as there is a lot of recent expansion in the market. We are looking for an individual who is working within the Insurance industry for 5+ years. Experienced managing Third Party Suppliers, Contract Management and a strong knowledge of Solvency II Reporting.


  • Manage the day to day relationships with multiple local and international Outsourced Service Providers (“OSPs”), ensuring effective service delivery according to contractual obligations.
  • Work within cross functional project teams to support the on-boarding and due diligence processes for new OSPs.
  • Oversight of OSPs through data analysis of Service levels and MI and leading monthly service review meetings and Quarterly Business Review meetings with OSPs.
  • Production of reporting for senior internal and external stakeholders such as the CBI.
  • Ensure that the outsourced activity is performed in accordance with the outsourcing framework and policy evidencing compliance.
  • Support the preparation of reports for the Outsourcing Committee to review;
  • Leading the agreement of new/changing service levels ensuring efficient and effective service delivery within business risk appetite;
  • Manage the outsourcing budget and invoicing process;
  • Proactively identify and manage outsourcing risk and contribute to risk reporting and the development of controls to ensure that appropriate information is presented to senior
  • management and Board(s).
  • Provide support to other departments, particularly operations, fund administration and integration and change ensuring the outsourcing function acts in the best interest of the business.
  • Guide and support more junior team members.
  • As part of the outsourcing and operational team, be a catalyst for change by influencing and engaging the business, Management teams and Subject Matter experts.

Skills & Experience:

  • Hold a third level degree in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate 5+ years’ experience within the insurance industry. At least 2 years of experience should be working in OSP relationship management.
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of insurance products. Unit linked, non-linked and with profits products a distinct advantage.
  • Contract Management experience. Comfortable reading and understanding contract terms, assessing contractual gaps or risks and utilising contractual SLAs to manage performance.
  • In depth knowledge of outsourcing regulations particularly in respect of Solvency II and knowledge of the CBI opinions relating to Outsourcing.
  • Knowledge of the European insurance market and some exposure to other financial and capital market sectors is desirable.
  • Data analysis skills and be able to compile insightful reporting from a variety internal and external sources and for a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, within and across organisational boundaries.
  • Strong organisational and negotiating skills with the ability to prioritise work efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and process development with respect to operations or outsourcing an advantage.
